Every day, Heartland has the distinct honor of providing hundreds of U.S. military veterans with hospice care. We take pride in recognizing our veteran patients with certificates, pinning ceremonies and other special ways to show our appreciation for their service on behalf of all Americans.
Heartland Hospice serving Central Maryland/Baltimore Metro Area held an appreciation ceremony at Woodlands Assisted Living to recognize and thank veteran patients for their service. Gordon Creamer, Heartland Volunteer Coordinator, presented patient, Ralph Moxley and his son, Richard Moxley with commemorative certificates of appreciation for their military service. Ralph served during World War II in the U.S. Navy. In fact, Ralph’s entire family served in the military including many of his brothers, uncles, and his son Richard.
“My dad comes from a family of veterans who were proud to serve our country. They inspired me to serve in the U.S. Army for over twenty years,” commented Richard. “Receiving this recognition today with my father is very special and memorable to our family,” he added, “thank you, Heartland Hospice!”
