Who Can Be A Volunteer

The Hospice Volunteer

We provide volunteers with a detailed orientation to the hospice program so they fully understand our caring philosophy and goals, and have the skills needed to assist patients and their families.

As a volunteer, you’ll work with the Volunteer Coordinator to determine the best role for you to enrich the lives of others. You’ll hear the stories of patients and families firsthand.

If you are a member of a special group (choir, drama club, garden club, etc.) you may want to volunteer for a Heartland project or activity.

To find out more about Heartland’s Volunteer Program, contact your local agency.

How much of a commitment will you be asked to make? As a Heartland Hospice volunteer, you can donate as much or as little of your time as you desire. The duties of our volunteers are varied. This flexibility allows you to find an area or service that is uniquely suited to you and provides you with the greatest personal satisfaction.
